Question about listing for sale here

I read the selling rules here and am confused about one thing !! I am listing the 73 Toro that many here assisted with, and I thank you all for your assistance !! I thought about listing it here but the rules say that only the owner can list and you cannot sell for anyone else. I have nothing to do with the sale itself, all I am doing is putting the ads on the computer. The owner is in her 80`s and doesn`t own a computer. The attorney is handling the sale for her and all correspondence goes to him, he has already done one sale for her through a local paper here. Only way I got into this is because the attorney and his wife are friends of mine and neither of them have the time or would they know how or where to list a classic car !! Neither am I making any money on the sale !! Under this circumstance would it be possible to list on this site ?? We are in NE Texas btw,,not sure if this site has locals or not !!
Again I thank everyone for their assistance !!

I am sure they wouldn't have a problem with that, just explain the situation.

People are all the time putting ads on this site for a friend or a relative who doesn't have computer access, especially, as in your case, an elderly relative or one who may not be in the best of health or no longer all there mentally. You should go right ahead and post your ad and make sure the circumstances are explained.

The idea, after all, is to sell a car and preserve an Oldsmobile.

I don't think anyone would complain about that, but I think in your case, you would also be the one answering any questions, so it makes the most sense that you would post the car.

Well the lady needs some help since she has no relatives here. Son lives out of state iI think. He did come in over the holiday and get it ready to drive. I hope someone buys it that will take care of it !! As far as I know with the exception of the filler plates it needs,,its all original !! I would love to have it but everything we have is full. No place to keep it out of the weather.
I couldn`t believe how clean it was !!
If you folks think its ok I will list it here !! Cross your fingers that it doesn`t get turned into something it isn`t !!

Posting for a friend or relative happens often in these circumstances and so far there have been no real issues.
Go ahead and post it for her. After all, some of those elderly people often have creampuffs stored away!
The rules just help to prevent members from posting about every car they see on online sales/auction sites, which would just clog up our site. Typically those sales/auction sites are ones that buyers look at first anyway.

BTW, I am in NE Texas, along with many others! I just might have gone through your town...

I live in Plano (just north of dallas) but have been through your town several years ago and close last year to Sulphur Springs.
I like cruising East TX, where it gets a bit more scenic than the west or south.

Was in Plano once. I was raised in Mesquite so kind of familiar with the general area. Plano had just started to grow when I was there !! There are several antique and classic car shows around here I think one in Sulphur Springs every year. We have one here and the Autumn Trails in Winnsboro is perhaps the largest one. There are many scenic roads in our area. We used to drive around like that too but hubby`s health prevents it now !!
