Pulley dilemma

My 69 442 with factory HD cooling, 3:91 and manual steering calls for a Ka waterpump pulley (400269 wp). Is there a single groove pulley for HD cooling or do I use the Ka?

Until you find a KA pulley, use a KM. A lot easier to find. My parts book indicates 401462 HD rad or OAI. 68 & '69.

I have the ka, which was on the car 20 y/o when I got it. It doesnt look right with the empty groove. The illustration doesn't specify

My parts book does not have a more clear description either.

I need to get a measurement of the kd off-set depth, if that lines up with the crank, problem solved. I'd be interested to find the application for w30 w/manual steering.

It's the KM pulley. I have '70 W30 4-speed with no frills. That is if you want to compare to a 1970 model

The KA and KM pulleys are almost identical. These pulleys are for A/C water pumps or HD cooling.

I know this is a 3 year old thread, but I will have a "KA" pulley available for inspection at the Olds Nationals next week if you or anyone needs it.

I don't mean to be a dick, but, there are a lot of cars out there with pulleys that have extra channels due to low factory options out there, and that's just how it is and how it should be. Function of that thing is 1000x more important than how it looks.

Once again the problem with resurrecting a long-dead thread. People only read the ancient first post and start responding to that, not the new post that revived the thread. Perhaps a new thread in the Parts For Sale forum would be more useful?
