Pulley alignment

I think the moon and the stars have aligned 😎
PS needs a little shimming but I'm very close.
KC crank, KK wp, KH ps with long WP (6.1).

No shimming was required from the factory. Your aftermarket A/C bracket isn't causing a problem with the PS pump alignment. FYI, by not using the rear bracket on the alternator, the alternator can flex forward when you tension the belt, causing misalignment. Install all the brackets.

Thanks for the tip Joe, I'm going to make a custom bracket for the rear of the PS and Alt bracket and anchor then to the first exhaust manifold bolt since I will be running tall covers to clear adjustable rocker arms.
You are correct the aftermarket AC bracket has nothing to do with PS alinement but the non OEM WP does. PS pump pulley does not sit quite parallel to the wp and crank vertically . or horizontally, its really close and most likely run like this but I would like it to be as true as possible.

I think it's called a "C" alternator bracket, 68-70 I believe.
WP is the long 6.1 pump

Olds are tricky, any missing spacers or deviation from factory causes issues like this. Did you put back in any spacers for the power steering?

Yes put in what I thought to be OEM spacers in place and had issues. Ordered set of spacers from Inline tube, was better but not quite right. I had to add a thick washer to top bolt on PS pump between pump and the front bracket. Now PS pulley is in line with crank and WP pulley top and bottom with a straight edge on the back side of the pulleys. I laid a piece of round stock in grooves on both crank to PS and WP to PS and it falls into groove straight and true. I went as far as to put a level vertically on crank pulley and jacked up the front of motor up slightly to get bubble in-between the lines and then checked PS pulley and it was spot on. I little overkill but that's just me.

If you remove that spacer between the AC bracket and the block it would line up with the outer groove on the compressor.

Mine lined up with out any of the spacers.
The middle groove is empty as I’m not running PS.

You are running different crank and WP pulleys them I am.
I'm using the KC,KK and KH pulleys VA lists on the instructions.
I spaced the bracket away from the block to move AC forward to give clearance for valve cover removal
