Proper black on 1966 442 trunk moulding

Is the Oldsmobile trunk moulding on a 66 442 originally a flat black or satin?

It's not a Flat. I'd say Satin. Semi-Gloss would be too glossy.

If you look at a new mldg it is dead flat black.

Who is selling a new one? I checked Fusicks, oldsparts and The Parts Place, they do not have repops.

No one sells them. I used Satin Black on mine and it looks great.

I bought an NOS molding back in the 1970s and it came unpainted. Satin black is what I used.
