Power steering pump question

I have a 72 Cutlass, 350 CID, and I replaced the power steering pump. What I thought was a straightforward task turned into a chore. I ended up getting the OPGI pump since the aftermarket pump that was supposed to fit was incorrect. My issue now if that when I tighten the belt the pump actually sits a little crooked - enough to make the belt track incorrectly. Is there something I am missing? I have the lower mounting bolt tight

Its likely you missed one of the spacers. This is a common problem and has several threads discussing it, I'll try to find one that shows what you should have.

you can also stack regular hardware metal washers to space your pump correctly as a quick if not temporary fix. - not a factory look but has been effective for me in the past when the factory pieces weren't handy.
