How do I block these irritating ads from popping up every time I choose a thread? Drives me nuts.

 

Install something like Adblock Plus to your browser. It's a free download. I've used it for years and it works great.

 

X2 on adblock, works very well.

 

Having said what I did, I feel badly for the advertisers who link into these sites. If they could find a way to advertise without being so invasive I wouldn't be bothered, and I'm sure other members would also breathe a sigh of relief. I don't know if it's IB that Creates those pop ups through their software?

 

IB has many different options for advertise and definitely installs little plugins into their site to launch the pop-ups.

x3 on ad block. Its a must have

 

I'm sure I'm not the only one who's noticed this, but,
the cursor touching the blue words in the posts are what trigger the pop-ups.
Even knowing this, it's hard to avoid tripping them.
They're strategically placed.
Very irritating.
