Polish aluminim valve covers

Polish aluminim valve covers

Took my aluminium valve covers off,going to polish them.....again.Can some one tell me how to seal them or something to keep them from oxidizing.

You can clear coat or clear powercoat but it will never look as good a raw fresh polished aluminum. I once ordered a set of billet wheels and went with clear coat option. They were much less work but just did not have the crisp clean fresh polished look.

What kind of clear coat do I use?Dose it need to be heat resistant?

On my harley i use rain-x and it helps because it puts a thin layer of sealer on it. Any time you have oxygen you'll have that problem.

Zoops makes an aluminum sealer. Not sure how well it works as I've never used it.
