Plug Wire crimping

In all my engine work over the years I have neve NEEDED to make up a set of plug wires until this week.

With the right tool, it went pretty smoothly. I could not find my standby pliers-like crimper that claims to be able to do plug wires.

It was like this:

A friend bought the Taylor wire set... and a vice-based "B" cavity crimper tool like

It worked really well, has a trimming part for 7 or 8mm wires to get the core length right. Made real nice well-set crimps. The plug wires fit RIGHT after proper cutting. Yay!

I ordered this ratcheting crimper to do this job for the next time I need to.

I made my own wires; also my first time. It wasn't too bad. The fella at my local Napa let me borrow the ratcheting crimper. Sometimes it's good to live in (or near) and small town
