It turns out that thanks to fortuitous business scheduling, I'm stuck in L.A. over this coming weekend. Naturally there are no Pomona or Long Beach swap meets, but the NorCal/SoCal Chapters joint meet in Pismo Beach is this weekend. I'm planning on being there Saturday. Anyone from this forum going?

Not this weekend, but hopefully next month ill be there. My mother, sister, and brother all live there or in the area. My sister and mother are in Arroyo Grande, which is basically at Pismo, my brother is about 20 miles away. I hope to drive out there next month.
However it sounds like a good time for you...

The California group put on a great show in a great setting. I drove down to Morro Bay two years ago and was very impressed. You'll see some fine examples or Oldsmobile's, enjoy. My car at the 2013 show below.

 

We're out in the Desert, but might be up for a road trip. I'll check with the "activities coordinator".

 

I know. I was a member of the SoCal chapter when I lived there in the 1980s. Then the meet was in Cambria and I attended a few. I haven't seen some of these folks in 30 years.
