Picture of trunk light

No zink plated mounting bracket used on my series 87 hardtop '70 442 built at the Fremont plant. I beleive that the zink plated mounting bracket is used on the convertible bodies only, IIRC.
On hardtop cars the light assemby slides on with two clips that are built into the light housing onto the trunk lid support brace.
The power wire is built into the intermediate harness. If you look around the harness you should find it. I beleive that all cars got this power feed, even if the light was never installed at the factory.

Rob has posted nice pics of his light, as it is mounted in a 72 vert.
These pics are from my car, which is a 72 fastback (Cutlass S - 3387 body) Note the differences in mounting. BTW, the orange wire for this option already exists as you probably found out. It has power already supplied (as per Rob's post) as part of the courtesy light wiring. Straight plug and play.
