The Everly Brothers had some of the best harmony ever. There will be lots of people on here that never heard of them. I was very young when they were popular. Here is a link to their most popular song.

RIP Phil

There was a lot of great music from them. Another voice silenced forever.

Danced away a lot of nights to their music when this area had a lot of dance clubs. Sadly clubs are gone now so are the singers and groups I grew up with

RIP Phil

I think this happens to anybody who dies, singer or not.

Everly apparently died due to complications from bronchitis and emphysema due to a lifetime of smoking. But he made it to 74, which is not that far off of life expectancy. Still there's a lesson there. How much longer might he have lived and contributed...

I have seen my Mom and Dad dancing to them and many other 50's tunes during their home parties with 20 records or so stacked up to play n drop, My generation missed out on the 50's dancing era. We did the late 60's, early 70's flying era... but our feet were still on the floor.
