Perusing the Chassis Service Manual

I was perusing the chassis service manual for my 68 CS and I noticed the following statement (while looking at the option of replacing my HB during the timing chain/gear replacement process):

"A harmonic balancer is used in place of the pulley hub on all except two barrel low compression 350 cu in. engines"

My car has a two barrel (for now, switching to edelbrock 7111 intake/1406 carb. soon) carb, 350. It also has a harmonic balancer. Does this mean I have a two barrel on a high compression 350?

As an aside, what does the pulley hub look like?

That's probably what that means, yes.
Or, it may be inaccurate wording leftover from 330 days.
I have never seen a '68+ engine w/o the damper type balancer, but I don't claim to have seen one of every type either. LC 350 2-bbl would be very rare in the USA.

What does it look like?
Like a damper/ balancer with the outer ring missing.
Has counterweight backside.
Look for pix of any pre-68 330 2-bbl or even the later smog era 307's [exc. VIN-9 engine].

I'm no '68 350 expert, but, yeah, I agree that that's probably just data detritus that had not been cleaned up.
Sorta like the 60ft/lb balancer torque specified up to something like '66 or '67.
