Parting out a car.
Parting out a car.
How does one price parts that are not commonly sold?
I have a bunch of trim off my 58 Oldsmobile that I have no clue how much to sell it for. The side spears, window trim, rocket moldings etc etc. Even the front and rear bumper.

I'm confused.. First you buy a '58 with a stuck engine, then the next day you post you are going to save money to rebuild the 371. Then the next day the '58 is for sale. Then the next day you are parting out the car. As far as what the parts are worth, there is a website called Ebay where you can get worldwide exposure for anything you want to sell
59-59-59 is correct that ebay is a good source. You can also see how much trim pieces normally go for. I often see people selling chrome fender spears, window trim, stainless pieces, etc. Unless the auction has ended, there is a chrome fender spear right now up for a '46 Oldsmobile. Just search "1946 Oldsmobile" and it should show up. That should give you an idea anyway.
