Paint Code

Hey Guys! Off of Teepo's cowl tag, what is the paint number for her Pinehurst Green color?? I want to give it to the body shop tomorrow for the rims when I take them in. Though I'm sure they probably can look it up, huh?? Thanks!

That would be the "43".

Ok, thank you! But what is the paint number or whatever it's called if you're looking for it like in a book? You know what I mean? What does "43" translate into??

Ummmm, Sandy are you trying to change to blonde or something? It's Pinehurst Green. No kidding. Right from the Olds manual.....

Nevermind Allan R!! You know, like Scot gave me the number of her interior paint this summer, and I was able to call a place and tell them it was "DuPont # such and such". That's what I want to know about the #43.... Maybe it doesn't work like that for the body color......

Sandy, the 43 code is specifically the exterior color of the car. For inside trim like the lower dash and A pillars I would guess they would use a different paint that's not metallic. You can call the bodyshop and tell them the paint code 43 is Pinehurst Green - they will get that regardless of whether you go with du pont, sikkens because it's a GM number that all the paint companies will have to duplicate for repair/repaints etc. The only thing you have to be aware of is that Teepo's paint right now will be a different color since the sun has had time to 'weather' it a bit, even if she was already redone or stored inside for the last few years. Best way to compare the original color to what you order is look at the inside of the trunk. That area never is faded from UV or IR, and is probably still original. Hey, like I thought you had thicker skin than that...
