Weatherman called for spotty showers today, but didn't happen😀, so off I went on a drive through the back roads of Chesapeake on a perfect 70 deg day...snapped a couple pics along the way.
Is that a cruisin Ocean City, MD sticker I spy on your bumper? Are you planning to go in May? I hope to have my vista and my 66 chevelle convertible down this year.

Good eye and it's actually a magnet. Dunno about May but hopefully October.
Cool to see you out and about enjoying your car and the weather. I love people that actually drive and appreciate their cars. I will always live a 70-72 Supreme.

Yup..it's not a "Sunday driver," it's an "anytime I get the chance " driver. Up until the time came for me to own one, I told myself it would not be a driveway ornament.
We just received 1”+ of rain here in PA. Putting new plugs in my 69 today and she’s going on a drive this week. Had on poster on another thread really seemed upset that I dared to take it out in winter. That it was going to rust apart. Hopefully not, pick the right time to go out, avoid back roads with winter gravel, rinse and run a dehumidifier in the garage. And fluid film! I bought this car to use, so glad its not a rare $50k car.
We had a good rain storm around here to wash the salt off the roads. If we don't get any snow or freezing wet weather maybe I I'll take mine out later during the week, otherwise it's usually early April I start driving the Cutlass again.

haha yeah that was me i wasnt upset just trying to help you out, these cars will rust out 2x quicker than todays cars, especially w todays ice melting mixtures. You have a nice car, but its yours you can do w it as you please
I had never heard of Fluid Film until the past week or so, seeing it pop up on a couple of different threads here on CO. This got me thinking - "Go do some (interweb) research." I always check out what Todd has discovered in his testing on the Project Farm YouTube channel. This guy has a probing mind with a scientific mind-set. He has done dozens of side-by-side comparisons of all kinds of things/situations. He did a comparison of various rust preventers/inhibitors back in January of 2020.
I learned about fluid film by driving Ford Rangers in the northeast. Absolute rust buckets underneath. Shackles rotted, rear suspension collapsed. Body stays fine, but underneath, rust. My 94 at 180k had the original clutch, ac worked, motor was tight. But it was destroyed by rust. Bought a 9 year old 2001. It was just starting to go. Once a year covered the bottom with Fluid film. Rust stopped, period. Its natural, from lanolin, lubricates, no issue on electric connections.
Truck never corroded, but was totaled when hit by a drunk driver in 2018.

Understood, and appreciate your concern. I took your advice seriously, and drove after a potential cost/benefit analysis. Basically I needed to get out of the house and drive or I’ll go crazy!
Rain ended earlier today here, trying to find some errands to do in the next few days as an excuse to drive the Olds.
Fluid Film & Wool Wax are similar products, both work well on daily drivers and are really important for pickups. On already driven pickups I usually dump POR 15 on top of the rear wells (after flushing & drying) until it runs out the bottom and dries, later coat with the lanolin products, good method for rockers as well. Remember doors & lower fenders, even good for keeping the spare tire winch nice & free.
