Hotwheels had some good castings. The original 70 442 casting is one if my all time favorites. This price doesn't surprise me so much. Watch it go up.

It sucks that they broke the original mold. The later version sucks in comparison. Looks like it has Cougar fenders.

Two Oldsmobiles in the Top 13, won't see that on many lists. Love the rear spoiler.

I think it may be time to pull my Hot Wheels from storage and do an inventory... Never thought they would bring that kind of money... Check this list which includes a 1971 Purple Olds 442 for $12,000...

These prices are always so misleading. These cars that have these high dollar prices are generally pristine examples. One major thing that hardcore Hotwheels collectors look at is the base. Notice the shiny super clean base on this blue 442. People see these articles and all of a sudden their old Hotwheels are worth huge money. Not the case generally.
