Winner!!
I like the look without the RWL better. Like you said you're not looking for the 'muscle' look, the understated black side walls work perfectly! Plus there's no white letter accents drawing the eye away from the baby moons. Anyway I vote for this picture. Looks classy, just like your Lady. Did you photoshop her into the picture too?? Naw, course not, would be too hard to concentrate

MAK, you can't go wrong with Cragar S/S on any 60's car. The Smoothies look great, too.
I would agree with the black sidewalls vs. white letters. I planned to have my tires mounted white side in but the shop misunderstood and mounted them out. I didn't want to have them do it over and my wife liked the letters so I left them. I'm planning to switch to red line tires this year.
Just for grins, here's how my Delmont looked with body-color steelies and blackwalls:

You are a loved person on this forum with all the replies. This is my opinion:
1. I personally do not like your current wheels.
2. If money is tight, repair the one wheel and enjoy your new tires.
3. If money is not an issue, purchase new wheels & tires.
4. Smoothies and or Baby Moon wheels are used on hot rods, not muscle cars. IMO
5. Go with a wheel that will never goes out of style.
6. If you want a performance based tire, forget 15" wheels. Instead get 16" or 17" wheels at a minimum.
7. If you want a cruiser, 15" wheels are fine.
Personally, I love the Cragar 500 series wheel & American Racing TORQ Thrust wheel.
I hope this has helped you.
BTW - I have 15x7 American Racing TORQ Thrust polished wheels & BFG tires for sale for a killer price . Look in for sale section under parts or IM me

The TTII wheel is way over done. Everyone and their mom has a set. Personally I love this wheel, has a 60s (Rader and M/T) vibe but doesnt come bigger than a 15. Big cars need a big wheel.

If I had 442, I'd definitely go with a more aggressive wheel... but, after all, the Delta 88 is not a performance or muscle car... it's a big/heavy classic, luxury cruiser. I like the simple look of smoothie wheels... and the contrast of the RWL's. I also like that the brake drums are completely covered. Of all the wheels I've test-fit (using photoshop)... this is by far my favorite! I realize no one wheel/tire package is going to be everyone's first choice... which is why there's so many choices available. Most of the others I've considered, while I really like them on other cars, are just too flashy for the clean, simple look I'm trying to get. When I first acquired my car, the first thing I remember thinking is "those pimp wheels have got to go!" (kinda gives you my mind-set.) Since then I've been looking and trying to decide what best fits my car and my style... this is it!

That's actually not Krissy's favorite pic, but it was the best straight-on view of the wheels I had. Much more difficult to photoshop wheels even at a slight angle!

Anyway...
The wheels were 15x7 front & rear, the rears were reverse offset (full deep dish) tires were 235/60 front & rear. They looked pretty good.
I think if i were to do it again today, i'd probably get 15x8's all the way around w/ standard offsets front & rear (4.25 or 4.5 bs) and probably either 235/60's or 245/60's for tires.
hope this helps. I'm sure the smoothies will look good.

I'm gonna go with 15x8 rims (4" backspace)... with 245/60's. I'm tempted to go with 255, but I'm afraid they'll rub.

Update: It's a done deal... everything's ordered & on the way!
Hoping to be sporting new shoes by next weekend!
Thanks to all that replied with opinions... your input was a great help to me.
It was a tough decision, but I really think this is the look I'm going for... kinda takes me back to the cars I liked in high school during the 70's.
Can't wait to see them actually on the car (instead of Photoshopped)... and you know I'll post pics!

255/60R15 BFG T/A's (w/ RWL!)... I'm 99.9% sure they won't rub, lol.
