OOOOOWEEEEEEE!

As some of you may know, I un-packed the '77 Cutlass and the '46 last week from winter storage. So I drove the Cutlass to work today. Wow what a nice feeling. I really enjoyed it and look forward to the drive home even more as it was dark (still is) and cool this morning. Like a shot in the arm!

Sorry guys. I have a setting messed up and am not getting notification of new posts or replies. Anyway. I won't be driving the '46 for a while. I decided to r/r the intake manifold this spring. There was a slight leak on the driver's side crossover just outboard of the temperature bung right at the gasket. I used the turkey tray type gasket last time and decided to use the fel-pro set this time. I was also not happy with the coolant temperature and decided I needed a fan shroud. Last fall I bought a metal shroud for a '49 Buick that will fit (I think) with little to no modifications so that needs to be installed too. Finally, I really want to get a dial back timing light and determine total advance and fine tune that. I am using an old Mallory distributor with no vacuum advance (I know, I know, it's purely for astetics) I am waiting for a nice weekend to do those things and then I am on the road with the '46. I am anxious to really drive it, not just down the street and back. Thinking about that timing issue, I may have to increase my initial a little more than 10 degrees advance to keep the coolant cool at idle. Is this correct?
