Oldspackrat, taking a short timeout. :(
My 83 year old grandmother that raised me has been on hospice care for the past 2 1/2 years but has been in the hospital for the last several days. Being my own(not very good) boss & selling Oldsmobile parts for a living has afforded me the opportunity to camp out in her room for the last several days to be here for her as the end approaches. It could be tonight or in the next couple days but near for sure.
That being said, I have a handful of people seeking parts/prices/pictures. I apologize for the delay & will be back to it as soon as life permits.
Thanks for your understanding,
Scott

I'm very sorry, Scott.
I cared for my grandma through her last two years, as everyone else was gone, and it was a tough time.
You're doing the right thing, and afterward you will know that you did the best you could.

My thoughts go out to you and your family. I went thru the same sort of thing in 2009 with my mother. It is a very difficult time for all, it's good that you are able to be there for her. Take care of yourself.

Hi Scott,
I hope the best for you and your grandmother, It's very hard when any family member passes or about to pass! It's terribly considerate for you to be there for her.
I also believe that this forums masses will be kind enough to wait till you get back to business.
Regards,
Pat

If someone is not understanding then they are not human. That is until they go through this, then they will understand. Family n kids first pack rat! Tough to deal with loved ones at this stage in their lives, but you're there for her "paying it back" and that is all that matters. We're with ya man! Good luck!

Thanks to you all for the thoughts, prayers, & kind words! Grandma slipped away just before 6am today. Grandpa & I were there for her last moments here. Still have to help with the rest of the details but at least I know she is not suffering anymore.

Sorry about your grandmother, but you were fortunate to be able to make the time to be there with them. Don't think twice about the small stuff I bought, my car is in pieces and I'm in no hurry at all.
Take care

Scott, sorry to hear about her passing on. But like you said, and I believe, she is not suffering anymore. You being there at the final second was the best you could do. I want to do the same should my mom pass. Best wishes and my prayers are with you..

I'm glad you were there. I was half an hour late to get to my grandma, but my aunt was there, and she passed in her sleep anyway.
Take it easy, and you may find you have a headache for no reason from all the emotion; I sure did. Bless you and her.

As you said, she is no longer suffering but I know it is still tough losing a parent or in your case grandmother who was more like a mother to you. You can be proud of yourself, Scott.
