Did this car survive anywhere? Curious if it survived.
I believe it has . I read something recently that it had been damaged at a Hurst / Olds gathering by a bunch of drunken idiots climbing on the platform .
it is believed there were a few pre-production/promotional '68 H/O convertibles built in a couple color combinations
there were pics posted (probably here) of a gold '68 convertible in rough shape at a dragstrip in the '70s or '80s - implied that it is/was "REAL"

The little woman posing with the Olds in wine country.
What color is the interior of your car? That is the original color of my 72, mine was also a vinyl top car but the po removed it. After seeing how good the car looks in that color i wish i would have stuck to the factory color. Mine has white interior so I’m guessing the top was white.

Interior is saddle. The coffee brown top kind if brings the int. Color to the outside. I always kind of liked the look.
Super funny to me how many people chased Coors in the day (See Smokey and the Bandit) I am from Colorado. I never Ever went to buy Coors. Ever.
Cool picture for sure though...
Lee Petty and his #42 Old's that won the 1st Daytona 500 in '59 Lee's Old's on the track at Daytona Richard Petty's #43 Old's entry for the '59 Daytona 500 Richard's #43 on the track at Daytona
I created the "Show" sign in the 1st pic from Vintage Old's Ads thinking they would describe the features/attributes of the car in a more interesting way than me just listing a bunch of features. The ad in the 2nd pic just cracks me up everytime I look at it and read it, it's Soooo late 60's!
.
That’s my favorite year! Haven’t found the right one yet.
I searched for almost 2-years before finding one I fell in love with. Luckily, I was able to get mine before the crazy price inflation that has occurred over the past couple of years.

I picked this up almost 3 years ago from my tenant, he was going to scrap it!
72 D88 Royale, 455, 400 trans 12 bolt/w12 bolt ring, runs good fixing a hand full of small problems.

Wow, nice save! That would have been a tragedy if he'd scrapped it!

Very fortunate gift, it looks great! Personality-O-Plenty!!😄
I sold it locally in the late 1980s. He ended up selling through Fast Lane Classic Cars around 9/11. I wanted to buy it back but missed the opportunity. I would definitely buy it back if I could find it.
