Olds salvage yard crawl

Went out to pick up a beautiful NOS grill for my 65 and took some time to walk the yard.
LOT'S of Olds of all years. Lot's of rust too unfortunately.
A couple 442's, and check out the rear bumper on the '64. Totally usable.
Found a cool 2 color '65...search all through the interior but couldn't find the two-tone trim.
Enjoy!

I took a few data plate pictures...I'd love to see some breakdowns.
Anyone see anything rare I should have nabbed?

You mean besides fenders with correct W36 stripe and emblem placement?

Actually, the one marginally rare thing I noticed was the two-tone paint chrome trim pieces on this 1965. Vinyl tops were not an option for 65, so the D99 cars were the only ones that used that trim. The "O" in ACC Group 1 indicates the body piercing for that trim, and you can kind of see it on the car.

Boy remember when all yards were stocked like that? Be nice to see some people get some usable parts out of there. Thanks for posting all the pictures.

Thanks for all the great pictures. Brings back a lot of memories of my younger days, picking.

I almost bought a Divco milk truck in a place like that once. What was I thinking?

Joe, that two tone car was the one I crawled through completely. It had a lot of the trim inside and I pulled every piece out looking for the divider pieces...and nothing. Someone got to it long before I got there. Black car, white top? I’d take it.

those pieces of H chrome on that same 65 are worth a few hundred dollars also, the upper beltline stainless at the top of the fenders, also the wheel well trim
