Olds builder/shop in central IN ?

Thought I'd throw this in Gen Discuss for better coverage...

I'm starting the rebuild of my original 350. I've (gently) torn it down and have a local respected machine shop cleaning/inspecting the block & crank now. But its just a machine shop...no assy of parts.

Decades ago I helped a few buddies rebuild/build a few SBCs & Mopars, but these were engines that were typically thrashed & rebuilt again. i.e. somewhat disposable. I not sure if I'm up to doing a 'proper/professional' build with durability & whatever Olds tricks there are, in mind, and I'd like to find someone to discuss all of the various options/parts combos/mods/etc...

I've been to several Indy area shops looking for some Olds knowledge. I've found everything from big shops with an acre of machinery/tooling where I could pic up a freshly built 900+hp BBC drag motor 'to go'... to tiny shops that have 1 guy in a closet with a socket set. Most end up wanting to throw a CompCams or Edel package at it.

Any ideas ? Recommendations ?
Got a secret builder ? PM me!

TIA

i have these people do my work. i don't think they would assemble it if they don't do the machine work tho. i have had great service with them. i have not had them do my heads but i would trust them to do them. they have had experience with 455 engines for jet boats also. it is over an hour drive for me but it is worth it. before i got a computer, all i thought there was was Mondello products and info. i had showed them some of the info from Mondello and they told me many of the same things i hear here about some of the recommendations that Mondello had. i was nervous about it then but now that i hear the same things on the net that woody was telling me it add to there credibility for me.

I used Beache's Machine in Kokomo, In. for my 455, very happy with them.
