Olds 350 intake manifold

Olds 350 intake manifold
I am trying to identify the intake manifold. It has a number 9 in the ID number area by intake 2. I could not find anything about this ID number in the olds information. Only an 8 and 10 was referenced. Thank you.

You do realize that I answered your question three weeks ago, right? The block casting number is a 1968-1976 Olds 350. The intake is a 68-69 Olds factory 4bbl intake with divorced choke. Yes, that's why you need the correct carb, which would be 7028250 for 1968 or 7029250 for 1969. Of course, you also need the choke mechanism that bolts to the intake pocket.

Response
Sorry Joe, I saw the picture but the intake had the number 8 where mine has the number 9. So is my intake the correct one? Also do you recommend someone who sells the correct carb for the car? Thank you.

Head ID
The heads have a 7 where the E is in your photo. The alternator is covering the other number. The next time I take off the alternator I will look at the other number. Thank you for getting back to me.

Keep in mind the same head castings are used both sides so the driver side number is at the front and the pass. side number is at the rear.

Note: While very helpful, some info in this FAQ has been deemed inaccurate.

Another 71 Olds Cutlass 350 4 bbl question
OK I am back with another question. I was able to purchase an Olds Carburetor to replace the Chevy Carburetor that came with the car. Next I purchased the solid line from the fuel pump to the carb. When I went to install it, it is off by about 2 inches. See attached photo. Is the reason for this is that I have the intake manifold number 9 for 68 to 69 Olds instead of the one for 71 Olds? And if so where can I buy one? Thank you again.

Are you sure that line is for a small block (307/330/350/403) ? and not a big block (400, 425, 455) ?
350 intake for a 68 or 69 is exactly the same as an intake for a 71 (or 70 or 72?) with the exception of the choke area.
All small block intakes position the carb in the same place so I doubt it has anything to do with the intake.
Edit: Quick-draw Joe beat me...

I just searched on line. You have to be VERY CAREFUL to check applications for some of these vendors. For example, Summit shows the same P/N fuel line fitting both Olds 350 and 455 motors. That should raise a big red flag, since the lines are different.
Here's one source of a correct line:
http://www.supercarsunlimited.com/68...ine-d1441.aspx
Fusick shows this one, but that appears to be the same P/N for the Right Stuff line that Summit claims fits both BBO and SBO. Summit could be the one who made the mistake in their listing, however:

Inline tube also uses P/N 6802 for the fuel line for this application.

Thank you for the quick response
Joe, That explains everything. I purchased from Summit. They also sent me an accelerator cable and return springs for a 71 Chevy / Pontiac. I have been trying to get a hold of them but no one is getting back to me. Looks like 60 dollars down the drain. After having a contractor rip me off for 27,000 dollars in 2013 I am getting very leery of ordering anything online anymore.

Pontiac Parts
What about the Pontiac accelerator cable and return spring? How come Summit does not want to deal with anyone after they have their money? I just do not get it. My next step is to contact my credit card and tell them that I received the incorrect parts and Summit will not cooperate.
