Old school Olds late 50's race rear ends

I have a buddy with a Chevy Parkwood wagon bagged beater / cruiser. It also happens to make 515 RWHP with a 5.3 junk yard motor. If he even soft lanches the car it keeps breaking spider gears and carriers.
I have alway heard Chevy guys were using Olds rears in the late 50's Do the stonger Olds parts and pumkin, axles ect bolt into the Chevy housing or is the housing different completely. There is a lot of fabrication involved with the suspension and bags in his current housing so he is trying to look for a solution with out starting over. Hes not trying to drag launch on stickies but would to quite breaking parts just accelerating hard onto the highway.

The 57-64 Olds rearends have thick ring gears, tough pinion gears and axles. They are similar to the ford 9" in that the pumpkin comes out of the the housing from the front in a complete assembly. The drag racers of the late 50's and 60's used them as bolt in's for there 55-56 chevys as they would hold up to massive hp and you change the pumpkin to have different gear ratios. Anti-spin was also available. The 57 anti-spin is almost impossible to find because of the one year spline count. 58-64 are easier because the splin count in common to all. Completely different from the chevy rearend.
