Oil Pan Color

Were the oil pans on the 1970 442's painted corporate blue when they came from the factory, or were they another color?

They were painted the same as the rest of the engine.

And, to be accurate, I think the blue was not corporate blue.

The 1970 455 is metallic blue. I like Bill Hirsch paints. Be aware that the color will vary depending on application technique. Spray thin coats and it will be too silvery. Factory technique was one or two heavy wet coats (runs and all).
