OCA National Pics

Having a GREAT time and still have another day. Wednesday evening we took Sandy Gray's Jetfire to Felix Garcia's race trailer and done a turbo swap on the car with a fresh turbo I had built. Thursday I changed fluid metering valve diaphragms on Scott Phillips Jetfire and today I will be working on at least one more Jetfire. Had a GREAT gathering last night and talked for a couple hours. I have to say that this is one of my top national events that I will always remember. Although, I did like the shade trees better at Tennessee, lol. I am sun burnt pretty bad

Great pics. My wife and I were there Friday. It was kind of sweaty but saw some really great and unusual cars. I got to talk with two gentleman who are long time owners of cars like mine. They were both very helpful with details about these cars. One of the men bought his new. His car is in Florida, the other owned the turqoise 67 I'm sorry I didn't get their names.

Huge thank you for all the pictures and the effort 👍
So so many cars to comment on. Very cool to see more pictures of that black seventies painted 442. I Iove seventies custom paint cars. Time capsule. This is an old paint job for those not in the know. Not everyone's cup of tea but I dig it.
What's the story on this car?
Oh and this car? True Ram Rod car?

Jasen Ramseys white 65 Club Coupe was the one with the H molding is a very nice car. It scored a 999 @ the OCA Nats in Murfreesboro & is going to be very hard to beat. Thanks for sharing Peter.

So many cool cars, hard to pick a favorite of the bunch. That 71 with the wild paint job reminds me of a Corvette my brother had bought back in the early 80's. Similar 70's style scheme and paint colors. As always, looks like a lot of fun. Thanks for sharing the pics for all of us who cannot be there. Appreciated very much.

That Omega Pace Car deserves a JWO feature article. Did anyone point it out to Shannon?
Back in 90s there was a short-lived BOP magazine with an enthusiastic and really likable young editor, little ginger-haired gearhead guy named Rob. He'd show up at all the big BOP shows and I'd steer him towards whatever unusual and interesting Oldsmobiles were at OCA Nats. That's how the 1976 H/O and Harry Mager's 1966 4-speed Starfire got national exposure when nobody knew they existed.

SEGA at Kil Kare
I didn't get many pics at Nats. But here is some pics of the South East Gassers at Kil Kare Dragway on Saturday.
Check out the babes directing cars back after burn out! Everything is sposta be set in 1967. Really neat!!
This guy was a madman! This wasn't' the biggest wheelie he pulled. Unfortunately I didn't get a pic of when he set Falcon on rear bumper and bent front axle on landing.

Totally with you on this..That car just oozes sex appeal, the iconic color and such beautiful styling of the early 60’s. The body lines from the rear tail panel forward are one of Oldsmobiles finest moments..
