Nostalgia, Gratitude and Difficult Decision
Nostalgia, Gratitude and Difficult Decision
I have started and then deleted this a couple of times since the first of this year. My 1971 Cutlass Supreme convertible has been a source of joy and many family memories over the past 33 years. I have struggled with my decision but realize that it is now time for someone else to enjoy and care for the Cutlass. It is now in a live auction that started today on BAT.
Classic Oldsmobile has been very valuable in the work I have done to the car. It had several incorrect parts when I purchased it in 1989. I have corrected several, left a few incorrect and when I rebuilt the AC system eliminated the original Harrison compressor. Age and health are standing in the way of me doing more on the car, so hopefully someone will get enjoyment from it. The members of Classic Oldsmobile who answered questions, assisted with parts, sources and knowledge have contributed to that enjoyment.
So, it is with much gratitude that I say goodbye to the 71 Cutlass.
