NOS exhaust

Just found out a friend was able to buy some nice pieces from a fellow buddy getting out of the hobby. He bought a set of NOS 442 tail pipes and one downtube for 68-72. The trumpets were already on the pipe. Any idea of value? They are still in the gm wrapper. Crazy what is still out there.

I had some NOS exhaust pipes that came with a '72 GS Conv. I purchased a few years back. I was shocked that they had real GM part numbers on them; stickers not punched. I'm also surprised the trumpet tips are already on the tailpipes you are talking about. Are they welded? Clamped?
I left my items with the car when I sold it---I have no idea if those would've interchanged with other A-bodies.
I also have no idea what that type of money that stuff is worth. The tailpipes and trumpets in and of themselves are cool, but if they are only 2" or 2.25" they aren't going to flow that great. I guess however, if you are restoring a "points" and "numbers" car, they might be priceless!!!

If you guys sell them let me know. I don't have the slightest clue as to what they are worth but I can hook you up with someone looking for a set of tail pipes NOS. I think he would pay top dollar to get them.

I had a set of tailpipes from a 70 W30 that were removed from a car when new. The tips were welded.

I know I bought NOS GM pipes for my '69 back in the early '80s and they still had the trumpets welded on them at that point.
