Nice 71 Custom Cutlass ( Worth taking a look if you like Custom cars)

So at first I was thinking ok...I could handle this...it's not cut up and the wheels aren't 24's or 26's. But as he came around the front of the car and I saw the hood...I couldn't stop laughing.
It reminds me of a guy I used to work with who came to work one day with a huge "grill" in his mouth. It was so big that it prevented him from closing his lips. At first we all thought it was a joke but as the day wore on it became apparent that he really thought he looked cool. So at lunch, I got all of the guys to make fake "grills" out of foil and we all put them on and called this guy into the office. When he came in, he was facing 20 guys laughing their asses off with foil covered teeth ! It was hilarious! And he got the point...we never saw the grill again.
Sadly, I don't think this is a joke either Do we need to break out the foil? lol!

That hood is just, just, just... lost for words. I guess retarded is a good enough word. If the induction scoops on a factory OAI weren't high enough why not add 8 inches of height to them. Not my cup of tee as far as the interior, grill and hood go but whatever floats his boar.

I'm all for custom cars, because stock is lacking imagination and personal touch to me.
Rims weren't my flavor.....neither was the grills in the hood.
Outside of that, I think the interior was totally badass, and I'm in the process of figuring out my custom console.
This TOTALLY Helped me with that problem and I snapped a screen shot of his, because I'm probably going to
copy it. That was totally a truly kickass interior design IMO.
Funny because his Autometer gauge setup is aftermarket in the same layout as what I made also.
Except I have new vintage LED 1969 series waiting to go in after I rewire the entire car and finish my LS/6speed swap.

Good lord that is one badass car.
Coby's Custom Interior did a HELL of a job there too.
Another cool custom console and interior with badass buckets modified.
Cool dash trim in billet, instead of that Faux wood crap the factory used, and the grip shifter is cool too.
I really wish I didn't blow the $1200 to restore my classic seats on this one.
BTW Tho, that's not an LS motor, that's a GM TPI motor......not even close to the same potential.
Those were in the 80's Camaro's, and other vehicles. Meak by comparison.
He kept the stock 3 large 3 3/8" gauge sockets too, I'm going with a 6 gauge pack I custom made.

Just saving some time and showing people the hood inserts...

I agree with Aceshigh, I'm all about a little bit of custom. Although the interior is well done, its a little much for me. Wheels were too big too IMO. But you know, its to each his own. As much as I hate seeing classic cars on 24+ in rims all "pimped" out, its your car, do what you want.

I agree but to this guy's credit at least he has bigger brakes on it to justify it. One of my pet peeves is big rims with stock drums behind them.

I love the interior on the first cutlass, also give me ideas!! and especially the outside door handles!!! awesome! remove the chrome screen in the hood nostrils, and I would rock it.
The droptop has led halo rings from what I can tell, and I love the calipers with Oldsmobile signage. The turn signal mirrors are cool as well... There is prolly more I missing as there are prolly more custom touches, but all in all pretty good. I dont the wheels on either as I personally am not a fan of big chrome, or chrome at all for that matter unless its a 50's60's car.

The other points you made about the console were well taken however.

The interior looks nice, I mean it's not for me at all, but I like the work put into the back deck and the two tone seats. I also don't like light color interiors, and yes I hate the color of the interior on my Alero
The hood scoops, whoa!! Sorry about your *****, man, and on top of that, were they even functional? eBay gutter mesh? Really?!?
Rims were cool, but a little too big, I like a bit more sidewall.
Like the metal flake, but not the color.
Except for the hood, I can respect the work, but it's not the car for me
