New Posts Breadcrumb Not Working

Someone must be mucking with the website, as "New Posts" breadcrumb has stopped functioning;

Hopefully not. I'm able to view New Posts on my Droid. I don't know what Breadcrumb is though.

I "know" you don't want me to explain a "breadcrumb".

Additionally, note there has been some previously available information removed from the current "New Posts" web page. It no longer demonstrates posts older than the last time you logged in but which still contain posts you have not read.

Unfortunately, this is a loss of pertinent functionality. Instead, users must now go to the "Forums" drop-down menu & pick the navigational breadcrumb which best matches their navigation. Previously (old "New Posts" web page), you could see/find a listing of all posts/threads which were posted. Now you must decide where any posts are contained which you have not yet read i.e. loss of functionality, IMO.

Hi Stan - That functionality remains in upper right-hand corner of any page from the User (Member) drop-down menu. I think they're doing some internal house keeping, but I think the loss of information on the New Posts web page isn't going to be favored by many.

I'm reviewing (from a CO "Member" perspective) some time stamps associated with this new change to the website. Again, I think they're performing some housekeeping (enabling/disabling some widgets) & addressing/optimizing the overall site. Like any website, but in particular this website and ANY website which manages images, the size of the data base(s) is ENORMOUS. This site does a fantastic job of rendering images on all pages of the website. Within milliseconds, when any member posts an image, that image is available to any users (both guests & members). The amount of time & space required on both the back end (DB) and front-end (website) is huge. I don't like the loss of previous posts which a member has not read becoming unavailable on the "New Posts" web page though. The Member drop-down menu (upper RH corner of any web page) contains a "Today's Posts", but only goes back to the previous day's clock time of 12:00am. You don't find any posts older than that time frame unless you go to the "Forums" drop-down menu and absolutely know what you're looking for.

This (below) is now only available from the "Today's Posts" Member drop-down menu.

I would argue the above statement is not accurate any longer since it only applies to threads pertaining to "Today's Posts" (around 12:00 of the previous day).

This new "design" does not bode well for anyone who enjoys navigating via the refreshing of a page - which I have always done. It now becomes quite bothersome/annoying.

Norm, are you referring to this function?

Jesse Dave - I cannot state whether the image you posted is what I'm referring to because you did not post the URL of the page which is rendering that image. IOW, what is the URL of the page which is demonstrating that page?

Jesse Dave - I suspect the answer to your question is yes, We can now ONLY see threads/posts posted "today" i.e. "Today's Posts" (from the "Today's Posts" Member drop-down menu). Yes, I can see those - nothing further than the previous day ~12:00am.

Let's say we'll see how this all plays out when it's finalized on the desktop, iPad, iPhone, Android, laptop, etc. & the various browsers.

They're the things that accumulate at the bottom of your toaster.

A "breadcrumb" trail comes from the idea that you want to leave a trail of something behind you so you can find your way out again if you're venturing into unknown territory, such as in a maze. If you're going into a thick woods or a maze, you can easily get lost and not be able to turn around and find your way out the way you came in. If you drop something on the ground ("breadcrumbs") periodically as you go, then, when you want to go back, turn around and follow the trail of breadcrumbs back to where you entered.

A breadcrumb menu on a webpage accomplishes the same thing as it shows you the trail of links you clicked on to reach the page you're currently on. There's one at the top of every page of classicoldsmobile.com.

Here's what's at the top of the page I'm currently on. I've labeled the breadcrumbs.
