I went to this show last year and it was really a fine event. With September arount the corner I am thinking about doing it again this year weather permitting. Was wondering if anyone in Jersey or abouts would like to do a mini caravan? It wasnt a bad ride at all once you get across the GW or Tappanzee Bridge.

Awesome show and absolutely planning on going. This will be my 4th year in a row at this show and I hope to keep that tradition going. Only bringing the black 98 as the red one is all apart right now.

You know that I will be there 18th year and it gets better every year.

Still too far away for me to believe weathermen but so far looking nice!

 

It's been raining here in Connecticut today so the forecast has been on track so far. Rain today will hopefully mean nice weather through the weekend as currently predicted. If we get the forecasted weather, it will make for another perfect show!

The show is on Weather may be a little wet early but the feeling is that it will turn out okay as the day goes on 12:00 noon is the cut-off for show cars to be judged. Hope to see many there!

 

And this is why weathermen suck, well the car is loaded so I am comitted now to the journey, yep lets hope the shower doesnt happen or is short lived!

 

I had a good time last year but wont make it tomorrow....hope its a good day for everyone thats going

Dean I will catch up with you at one of the upcoming meetings ...i didnt take the time off from work tomorrow and my car is still not running but if you need a baby sitter for those heads let me know

Same here Joe and i have to say i adimire and give you a lot of respect for packing up and driving from Jersey with traffic aggravation and expense to come to the show, your a true Olds guy

 

Thanks Morgan! Yeah it was a bit of a hassle on the return trip last year with traffic and it is a long day. The car is loaded on the uhaul so I need to just get in and go, picking up an Olds buddy near Parsippany around 6AM then we will be on the road for real! I love to get the car out among people who actually have an interest rather than just to look at shiny paint and chrome.

Long day just got home, rainy start to an OK day. Less cars due to weather but still a nice show. Maybe I can post some picts tomorrow...

Hey, thanks for posting some pics! My car was the most ready she's ever been and with the level of detailing, combined with a long drive and a black car, I wasn't about to take that run on a day like yesterday, especially going into the senior class for the first time. I'm so bummed about the weather yesterday and really wish the show would have been postponed until this weekend.


I'm glad to see that there was a '75 98 there. If it was a nicer day, we would have had at least a few more Ninety Eight's and lots of other cars too I'm sure. Oh well, there's always next year. I'm glad the show still got a decent turnout.

I hope to post a few more pictures tonight, too bad you did not make it. It is a tough call always with weather. This Sunday could be a total washout. There was no rain forcast this past week till Saturday night! Even with the long tow my car came thru pretty clean. Yes its not the water its the dirt that comes with it that is the problem.

 

Ditto on your 442!! It was a slow (55-60 ) ride home hopefully I can find a 3:42 ring and pinion soon.

 

Exactly. My car is black and also a frame-off so the drive to/from the show would have made a mess of it for sure. You're right about this weekend. So far this week's weather is going to be perfect, who knows what's in store for the upcoming weekend! I'm glad you and many others still made it and made the most of it. I'd like to know the judging results.

 

I want to THANK everyone who made the attempt and showed up Sunday especially the long distance attendees. Yes, weather is always a tough call and the NEOC show committee really struggled with the decision
BUT, we unofficially had about 80 cars show up and the rain held off
Some truly outstanding cars were there again this year
So what will the weather be like next year
