I apologize if this sounds insensitive, but this is a first. If this car was damaged by a flood, why wouldn't insurance cover it? Either that or take out a personal loan if you need the money? Sorry to hear about your Dad's cancer. You say he became a cancer victim - does that mean he's passed or still with us? Good luck with your funding request.

It's all good

He battled for 10 years and passed away 2011. Ins prob was in 1989 didn't have full coverage on it you can see some pics of project so far under major builds "wanting to post as I go. As far as loan stretched really thin paycheck to paycheck right now so no room for extra money going out. Car WILL be rebuilt in his honor since he started It I will finish it. Would just like to finish it or at least get good start on it while still fairly young. That's reason for funding and not only did dad teach me everything I know about cars he also taught if you want help you have to ask for it. So I am asking. Will I get any help? That's totally up to the heart of others.

Good luck on the build you can always trade skills for parts or buy good restorable used parts
I sacrifice better lunches pbjelly I sold a buch of extra parts put 20 bucks a side as I could to save for big stuff
I cut corners so I could build mine still have along way to go

Sorry to hear about your dad good luck on the restoration and post wanted adds for parts you might need lots of guys just trying to help out not get rich

Ok so a lot of you don't like this approach and that's your opinion everyone has one. All I know is not only did dad teach me to build cars he also taught you can't get help if you don't ask. Main request I have is that you go to site at fundly.com search finish dads dream or just click on link in earlier post and if nothing else help me share and spread on facebook. The right people with a giving heart may help may not all up to the heart of the person looking at it. Here is another way to look at it. If your car buddy needed 35 dollars to get his car going would you give it to him? Same principal just on a larger scale. I know if I had it to give I would because because when others are in need and you are able to help you help that's how I was raised by my parents. Have a Blessed day
