Hello all, I need some advice from some Olds exexperts here.

I found a very nice black w/red pinstripes 1978 cutlass with a SBC 305. the old guy has owned it for 20 yrs and drives it to the store only twice a month. he has replaced the radiator, rad hoses. front and rr brakes and one brake line this spring cost him about $900. i plan to drive for a few yrs whilst i restore my 80 gutlass, then restore the 78. the ODometer says 99k, could be 199k miles, i frogot to ask, i fell in love with it!

He wants $3k for it, it has slightly sloppy steering and several tiny things like dr pin (for dome light), dr seals, saet belt retractor lever, etc. The usual things for a 33 yr old car.

I have started at $1800 for it and went to $2200 and might call to offer a max of $2700 max (-900 means I got it for 1800 for it, cause i planned on replaceing rad and brake sustem anyways)

What do you all think? any info would be super appriciated friends, Mike.
