Need help identifying heads. 1950ish?

Hey All
I'd offered these heads to a member needing something newer. Someone said they thought they might be 1949-50 heads. I'd like to offer them for sale but really need to know what year and engine displacement they fit so I can describe them accuratly. Anybody recognize the casting numbers?

They also look to me to be 49 -50 heads. The way to tell on 49 -50 is they are not numbered by the exhaust port later heads would have a cast number showing....Tedd

Thanks for the info guys! Will they fit on any other engine besides the 303?

I'm going to agree with the 1949 or 1950 guess. Here are a few more clues:
It surely should be before 1953. I've seen '53 models with a "3" cast into the center exhaust port. The newer ones all had some number at this location.
The round exhaust end ports were on the earliest versions.
The parts book shows the part number for the 1949 and 1950 heads as 555643 which is one digit less than your casting number.
The parts book shows the same heads being used from 1951 through 1953 except for the Fiesta and the export heads.

They will fit any 303 - 324 except for a 56 which is an orphan. They require no modifications to fit but the 303 motors have smaller valves than 324's and you would probably feel a loss of power. All the heads can be made to fit but you run into gasket and push rod differences, it soon becomes a hotrod experiment should you travel in those warters....Tedd
