Need Help with Genuine 1972 Cutlass Seat Fabrics for my Vista Cruiser
Need Help with Genuine 1972 Cutlass Seat Fabrics for my Vista Cruiser
I know that the Vista Cruiser blue interiors only came with vinyl seats, but I think these pictures show the Gold cloth/ vinyl option that you could also order. So, I decided that I would stray from the original on my Vista Cruiser because I don't think all vinyl seats would be comfortable in the hot summers here.
I hope some of you might have some pictures with details of the bench seats on a 1972 Cutlass that use these materials, so that I could use them to copy onto my bench seats. I also want to make sure I have the right cloth and I'm not sure that the sample I got from SMS looks like the floral pattern I see on the gold seats? Also, it looks like the material on the top of the gold seats is a third material, but not vinyl? Does anyone know what that is?
Thanks, Tom

I also don't really know what the design on the third seat looks like. Probably, two of the cloth patches divided by a vinyl piece like the other bench seats. It looks like the seat-bottom surfaces are all solid cloth fabric?
Also, does anyone know of another source for the floral cloth and other materials? SMS wants $95 per yard. If they are the manufacturers, I guess they deserve that much, but it can't hurt to try. I just found a brand new tailgate seal that Metro Molded Rubber added to their line-up (TG16) for almost half the listed price on ebay...

After looking at the pictures again it almost seems as if none of the surfaces that touch the passengers are made of vinyl, but rather two different kinds of cloth? Here are more pictures as an example.
