Need Help With 1978 Question

Did GM in 1978 put a sticker on the drivers door that stated which plant (or country) the car was built in?

The plant it was built in should be part of the vin code.

Roger.

Thanks Roger, but I'm involved in shipping a car from Canada to the US. The car was definitely produced in the US as it has a U (Lordstown) in the VIN and the former owner told me the car came from NY state to him in NB, Canada. The broker is telling me that they need to see the sticker on the door that shows where the car was built as well. I'm trying to tell them that the VIN should be all they need (especially as in 1978 they did not build this car in Canada, only in Lordstown) and I'm not even sure they used the stickers in '78. I was told on ROP that there was a sticker in '78, but that it would have the VIN on it, not the name of the plant. I think I have it straightened out with the broker now. I was hoping to get the answer without having to type out the whole story.
