In need of advice on aftermarket Ram Air Hood!!
I'm wanting to add an Ram Air hood on my 72 cutlass and I know that Thornton's Hood are the best but it is too far out of my budget. I do not want a cheap hood, something in the middle will be fine. ? How many different company sell these hoods and which have good quality? I still would like the use the hood latch as well as the pins. If anyone has purchase a hood PLEASE GIVE ME SOME ADVICE!! Thank you

I have a hood from Tamaraz. (wish I didn't) Right corner sits to low has the wrong curve in it.
I gonna use my old hood for latch area (steel) Cut it out and mount it to the fiberglass
I've heard good things about http://www.glasstek.com/

That's for a 70. Different front design than 72. Their price is 789. Maybe the 930 included shipping??

@ Allan R--I plan on calling all these places in the morning. I wish I could afford the Thornton's. I starting to think that it is not meant. I've heard bad and good. the hardest part is making the choice.

My old hood was a Glasstek out of the Chicago area.....For the price I could live with the few imperfections my body guy had to deal with........
The biggest was the back lip is to thick for the chrome peice to fit over,I decided this was more of a street/strip car to worry about that so I painted it silver to mimic the look of the strip......I still have the hood but it need fiberglass work on the bolt holes.......I would part with it for the right price.......
