Mystery Trim.....

Wasn't sure what forum to post this in, but here goes....

I acquired these pieces of trim with some other parts for my '68 Cutlass. The original owner thought they were for 68-69 F-85 since he'd had a couple. He'd also had some 70-72 cars, but he didn't think it went to those. I did get several 68/69 trim pieces in the deal, but these mystify me.....

clicky for big...

Longs are 51-1/2" and shorts are ~ 19-1/2". All are about 1/2" wide ( a bit wider than my '68 pieces). It appears the ends to left in the pics were inserted into something else.

Any ideas ???

Thanks...!

Ahhh....That would make sense...

I have a convertible....and the 68/69 cars the seller had were both 'verts & hardtops (but he'd sold them all ~10 years ago). Perhaps they're drip rail & A pillar pieces. The thing that threw me was that these pieces are a bit wider than my side trim.

Can anyone verify the sizes of 'real' driprail/A-pillar trim ??

Thanks!
