Mystery Spindles/disc brakes
Hi All
Years ago I purchased a 1964 Cutlass parts car. It had disc brakes on the front, but when I pulled them off this is what I found. It was a non-running car when I got it so I don't know if these would have actually worked or not. Right now I'm trying to key them out and once I've identified them offer them for sale to someone who can use them. Please check out the photos and let me know if you recognize them or have a reference book that shows the application for these casting numbers. John

Those are G-body "metric" spindles with the 2.375" pistons in the calipers. They are NOT something you want to use on a 64-72 car because they have the different taper on the ball joint and tie rod end studs, so they don't seat properly in the spindle. Of course, the smaller piston in the caliper also hurts braking performance. They were apparently put on that 64 by someone who was not well versed in these swaps.

Thank you Joe! I was thinking they might not be correct for this swap and its likely the car was never driven with them on. I'll offer them for sale as parts but keep this post to reference what they cannot but used on! John
