My Post Moved?

I made 2 posts last night, one in general discussion and the other in the small block section...they were the same exact post but the one in the small block section was moved. Curious as to why being that my post was related to small block and where was it moved to? New to this site and still learning, thanks guys.

The site moderators are attempting to keep search tool working and to cut down on redundancy. There's is no reason to post the same question in two different locations here.

Well, the reason was because I figured certain people search in certain sections for certain things on this site so therefore for if it's posted in two different sections that it's actually related to, then it has a better chance of being seen.

I deleted you redundant post, both posts were for the same part wanted item and in the wrong forum. I moved the post to its correct forum. The way the forum works is whenever a new post is submitted it is sequential by time with the others. Most people click on the new post tab and they all come up in chronological order. Since you need a part, the folks that sell used parts will look in the parts wanted section first to see if the need matches their inventory.

Think of it as littering. If you drop your gum wrapper on the ground, it won't kill the universe. But if everyone did it, .......

If everyone posted the same post in 2 or 3 places, we'd all have 2 or 3 times as many posts to wade through. Life's too short.

We all have posts moved or even deleted (and in most cases rightfully so.) Managing a forum of this magnitude isn't as easy as it looks to us on the other end. There is magic that happens behind the scenes constantly.

This reminds me, thanks to the moderators/admin for all they do. I know it can get busy at times and this is one of the cleanest vbulletin boards I've been a part of. Great job!

Thanks everyone. Very understandable. Still new and didn't know there was a parts wanted section.

also i think most regulars just hit new posts to see what new not browse section by section...so if you posted 2 times in different sections both would show up.
