My newly aquired 69 442 3 speed convert

Just recently got this for a good deal. And I have a soft spot for the three speeds.
She is a beauty lol and the top is mint

Originally Glade green now a beat Saffron yellow
Black buckets, three speed console, rally pack and have a N-34 wheel to replace the broken two spoke.

Rust in typical areas but not terrible

All glass is intact and no cracks

70 grills in front but have all that stuff

Getting it running and a driver it will be
Hey they all cant be done over, well not w my current wallet status

Wish I had that motor!!! Its a Olds experimental engine that never made it to production. You can run into some really cool people working on cars, I guess eventually we have to sell our toys, but....

Congrats! If I'm seeing that front plate right it's originally from the PNW, Washington state. The coast cars can have rust, but central and eastern Washington state is real dry country. I've seen some nice rust free metal from central and east side Washington & Oregon.

Okay, let's quit the idle chatter and get to how it is optioned, please!

Should have the rare console top plate that is not drilled for the 4-spd shift pattern.

except on a 442 it is a "Real" " RUMBLE" seat option exhaust note would be spectacular....

Great Find, My vert was also Glade Green originally ( black when I got it...) good luck with her...

I don't know who "they" are, but whoever calls or called it a hemi is/was flat out wrong. The heads are "pent roof" shaped not "hemi" shaped.

To anyone who wants to know about the W43, read up on it. Why call it something it is not? Spark plug wires coming through the valve covers do not tell you what shape the combustion chamber is. I would like to think that guys on an Olds forum would be savy enough to call it what it is. (Some people still think the world is flat, but......)

It was a thread started by someone inquiring about it and the reference was used I believe from an article he read or something.
I will not refer to it as a hemi anymore promise.

Also did you see the hood in the pic?

So Kurt would being a 3 speed 69
make this a desirable piece or just the
3 speed bezel?
