My New 70 442 is Smaller than my First one

Observation - My newly acquired 70 442 seems much smaller behind the wheel than the one I had 30 years ago. Wonder if it's the car or maybe I'm bigger than I used to be...

It amazes me, I used to get in and put of that car 50 times a day and never thought anything of it. It's work now!

Heh heh... I think it is us being bigger!
I remember sitting on the floor with legs 'Indian style' in the back of my moms old Pinto when I was 7 or 8. Now it feels a bit cramped in the front with the seat all the way back.

Now on the other hand, make sure the seat CAN go all the way back. In my '72, the bench seat is slightly bent which keeps it from going all the way back - it hangs on the tranny tunnel. Previous owner musta been a big dude...

Hah, advice coming from a couple of skinny guys. I think the car hasn't changed and Rob's right it may be the seat.

I've lost about 80 lbs in 6 months. It's amazing how much less room I take up now.

Good for you! I am on that road too, I'm hoping to loose about 50.

I believe you've all discovered why Oldsmobile built a Delta 88...the extra 50# fits just fine...
