My 67 442 drag car

Here's a picture of my 67 442 drag car. It was an original 442 Sport Coupe that I raced back in the day. I sold it to a local buddy who still has the car.

It was an ET bracket car. The class with no rules,just shoe polish.

It ran high 6's,low 7's in the 1/8 mile. I had a lot of fun with it. You should see my Chevy race car collection. LOL

wow so you raced strictly 1/8 mile w it , those times seem great although not well versed in 1/8 mile times

was it a e block?

No,it was a low compression hydraulic cam 455 with a Chevy 2 speed powerglide trans with a trans brake & 5.13 gears. A 7.00 1/8 mile et is appox. a high 10 second 1/4 mile et

When a drag car comes off the trans brake,it hits as hard or harder than a manual car. The car wasn't real lite,it still had full stock glass and body panels except for the glass hood.
