MSD 8529 Timing for performance

MSD 8529 Timing for performance

MSD Distributor in 455 with hyd roller 538/538 @236/244@ 50, trans has 2200 stall, and gears are 3:73 Timing is set at 14 int and 37 full.all in by 2400..Car runs good,but is all in @ 2400 too soon for performance.Cam range is 1800 to 6200.car has plenty of bottom end.I want it to pull to about 5500rpms...Carb is a 750 holley.fuel pump is mechanical that has 6lbs @ idle.

No, I don't think so. That is similar to the curve in my HEI.
