Nice, but I do prefer the 71 - 72 before the shock bumpers and plastic fillers, they were also a bit understated. Cadillac followed a similar trend. I had a 71 and a 72 Deville and felt they were overall better cars than the mid 70's Caddies.

Under 5000 miles probably explains some of the high price, but it's still insane. There's a lot of that going on at Mecum's Kissimmee auction this week.

I am slightly surprised with the high price during this economical environment but not so surprised based on the mileage & documentation history... Obviously there must have been several interested individuals based on the high bidding... Curious as to the starting bid and/or reserve price...

My money is on the owners of National Parts Depot as the buyers. They have over 200 cars in their collection and favor low mileage unmolested vehicles - don’t we all!
