Manual Transmission Shops - Looking for Recommendations

Hey folks,

I'm looking for a manual transmission expert in the Southeast that I can send my 4-speed out to for repair.

Back in the spring I had my transmission "rebuilt". Unfortunately, I used a shop that turned out didn't know what they were doing. After much delay I finally got it back only to find that it was leaking after a few weeks. Long story short, I had it sent to a well known transmission company in Atlanta but we just installed it only to find that there's an even bigger leak. At this point I'm desperate to find somebody who knows what they're doing and can get this thing working and put back together without issues.

I'm willing to have the transmission shipped so it doesn't have to be in Georgia.

Appreciate all recommendations.

Hartnett Ed 4 Speeds

NO ONE is better...did mine and 10 years later it works flawlessly.

He is a favorite of the NCRS Corvette crowd.

Another is Paul Cangialosi, www.5speeds.com. He literally wrote the book. Muncie 4-Speed Transmissions How to Rebuild and Modify.

I second Ed Hartnett. He did my 3 speed Toploader for my 69 442 convertible over 12 years ago and no issues. He also has done other transmissions for others I know and they all have been happy (how I heard of him).

I joined Craig Wright’s four speed group on Facebook and he’s nothing short of amazing. He takes the time to answer every question and always offers free advice. His customer service is incredible.
