Lord of Olds
Lord of Olds
Either there's a guy here in Michigan who's pumping these things out for himself or it's some kind of club, but either way here's another in my "Another Scary Jesus Olds on Craigslist That Refused to Remain Hidden From Me" series...
85 oldsmobile lowrider - $4500 (detroit)

"I have my 85 oldsmobile for sale it's a lowrider has costome pain,rims ,4pumps,12batteries,6suwiches.I'am asking 4,500 o.b.o "

I don't know about you, but "costome pain" does NOT seem like a good thing...

"Costome" = custom or costume? I vote for costume....
"Pain" = yes, that's right; it's hard to look at. Paint would be extra
"6 suwhiches" = ??submarine sandwiches?? OH, 'Switches" Can't have a lowrider without lots and lots of 'them'.

I thought it came with six sandwiches, so if those are not part of the deal....I don't think I even want to call.
You know, there are things in this world that you don't ever see until someone draws your attention to them, but I find it hard to believe that these sore thumbs fall into that category! But sure enough, I saw two more on the freeway (in California, mind you!) last night. One had a religious paint job, the other was bouquets of flowers and ribbons.... trunk, sides and hood! These gawdy (or God-y) paint jobs and gigantic wheels must be a sign of the apocalypse!

Ooops, careful. Might be infringing on someone's 'creative talents' and 'civil rights'.

Not really ebonic
Yup! BTW, you forgot one of the 'eh's. Know how long it took to get that just right??? I do proof read a lot before I submit material; even though I have the option to edit. Getting it right the first time makes it easier to understand, leaves a better impression and makes me feel better about what I write.
I would also guess lots of folks out there will automatically understand the hoser approach to "Can 'eh' jun" - in a sense it's how the word 'Canadian' is commonly said, unless you're British. Besides, I'm proud to be "Can 'eh' jun" or "Canadian". I'm one of the few people I know up here that proudly flies our national flag and changes it periodically as it wears.
I seriously thought about changing my avatar to a bottle of "Canadian" - with a bright red maple leaf. I think I might do that next time, before you change yours to a bottle of 'Coke'.
Hope you had a great Victoria Day Ken!

Does he know that he's making the baby Jesus cry for doing that to any car?

I work in the "D" as we call it. I get to see all kinds of crazy sh*t like that. I was at a traffic light on Jefferson Ave in Downtown Detroit and this homeslice had his Chevy Caprice Classic just a bouncin' like crazy...Glad it was not an Olds.
