Does anyone know were i can find this carb gasket. Seems impossible to find its for a 1981 olds omega Brougham 2.8

FYI, this is the early fuel evaporation (EFE) unit, which takes the place of the heat riser and exhaust crossover on older engines. If you can't get one, you can use the readily available gasket without the heater element, and it just means that your car will take a little longer to heat up when it's cold.

 

Ya, better off eliminating it. That's what I did on all 2.8L(junk) with the POS Varajet (junk). Man did we struggle with emissions back then.
Replace it with a regular gasket.

 

thanks DR just what i needed to be reminded of! The old varajet.something that was purged from my memory.now i'm gonna have nightmares!
