Looking for my previous cutlass
Hello all, I know it's a long shot, but I'm looking for two cutlass's I had, I would love to see if they are out there. Please feel free to share on any other forums.
I'm looking for my old 1968 442 convertible all black(int.,top, paint), factory 4 speed with 400ci. I wrecked the car in 1987 near Belhaven N.C., had front end damage, (bumper, hood, fenders).
Also looking for 1969 cutlass S 350 auto, red with black strips on hood and trunk, it had black and red diamond stitch velour enterior, sold to an attorney out of little Washington N.C. in 1992. Any help would be very exciting.

Do you have the VINs for both? Without that the search will dead end. Current privacy and other laws in most states don't allow for easy searching.
I put "search old VINs" into the Googler and it spit this out:
https://www.google.com/search?q=sear...hrome&ie=UTF-8
Triple black 68, 442, 4 speed... wow! One of ~1518 verts. A fraction of these was triple black.
Wrecked bad enough to bend the frame or just sheet metal? If it wasn't totaled it stands a better chance at still existing.

I wish I had the vin's, I went to DMV, my old insurance company, tried everything I knew of to get my info with no luck. Back then these old cars weren't worth much, so never thought about it. Then, came ebay in 1994, and drove prices up, by the time I started searching for them, I didn't have any luck. Little cool back story on the 442, In 1984 I had a 1971 cutlass s, I left work headed for home and passed by this 68 442 convertible on the side of the road, I turned around to see if I could help, I walked up and said can I help you'll. The fella said we've got a flat, and I don't have a spare. I noticed a factory 4 speed, and started to get excited,, I said what engine do you have, and he said it's a 400ci. I said I work at the Gulf station down the road, I'll give you a ride home and $400 bucks and you can leave it right here. After about 15 min of negotiation I gave him 400 dollars and a ride home. Man talk about the good old days. I put a new top on it, fixed it up, and was a nice ride, then wrecked it, no frame damage, but back then cars weren't worth much. Had it towed, and junk yard gave me a couple hundred dollars, and I bout the 69. When I sold the 69 in 1992 I had it for sale for 3 or 4 weeks. Didn't have a scratch on it, custom interior beautiful car and got $1700 dollars for it. Damn I miss those days.
