Looking for '68 H/O #482
While trying to find the original owner of my car, I came across the original owner of a post '68-H/O that was delivered to Friedley Olds in Cedar Falls, IA. Per Karl's H/O registry, there was only one post '68 H/O sold through Friedley when new, and it was car #482.
It was owned by Scott Morrell on the last registry update, but it appears it was for sale in 2009, so it's likely in other hands now (reference this thread where Scott's name is mentioned): http://www.v8buick.com/showthread.ph...n-lottery!!!!&
It would be nice to get the current owner in contact with the original owner if possible. Attached are pictures from the original owner that were sent to me. Let me know if you have any leads... thanks!
EDIT: I've given up on trying to get the picture to rotate the right way...

Yep, definitely rare... the H/OCA spotters guide says 64 sport coupes and 551 hard tops. I had previously heard numbers in the 51-56 count too, not sure if Karl/Judy recounted the registry...

Sort of... from what I understand, the Demmer car that's a 4 speed was a non-production H/O, it was a 442 built as a pilot, it has the 3x2 carb system, wasn't originally silver, etc... I've heard there was a second one (George Hurst's personal?) but can't find any info on it at the moment. I'm guessing that was possibly a conversion as well, similar to the promotional convertibles that weren't part of the 515. Certainly a special car either way due to history, but not truly "available".
